Data protection

a. General information

All data you provide will be used in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). By voluntarily sending us personal data (name, email address, etc.) through our Site, such as via our contact form, you authorize us to use the data for the purposes indicated when the data were entered, for purposes relating to their transmission, for administrative or client relationship purposes, and for marketing and targeted advertising.
Data sent via the internet can be accessed by unauthorized third parties. In addition, the data may be transmitted across international borders even if the sender and the recipient reside in the same country. Data are transmitted in the form of separate coded packets, but the details of the sender and the recipient are not encrypted. Third parties could therefore access this information and become aware of contact between you and TradeDirect or BCV.
BCV reserves the right to pass on personal data obtained on its TradeDirect website to external service providers, while ensuring that such providers use the data in accordance with the FADP. BCV may be legally required to transmit personal data to third parties to comply with administrative or judicial decisions.
Within TradeDirect, personal data are transmitted and stocked for a limited time. Appropriate security measures are taken to prevent third parties from accessing this information.
The confidentiality and security of email communications cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, BCV does not, in principle, accept any orders for banking transactions (account opening, payment order, stock exchange order, etc.) transmitted by email.

b. Web analytics

Through its service provider, AT Internet, BCV collects usage data for its TradeDirect website, particularly by using cookies and web bugs. These data are used for statistical, security, system monitoring, and site management (site improvement, etc.) purposes.
The following data may therefore be saved and used anonymously for the aforementioned purposes:  browser type, number of pages viewed, the path taken to navigate the site, and the time spent on a page or on the Site.
Data are transmitted to AT Internet in France to be processed on secure servers. AT Internet does not transmit those data to third parties, and no data containing information that could lead to the identification of a third party (such as user names, user details, and email addresses) are collected by or transmitted to AT Internet.

c. Third-party technologies for advertising and Site usage

Google applications
The public portion of the TradeDirect website uses the following services of US-based company Google Inc. and its subsidiaries (hereinafter “Google”): Google AdWords Conversion Tracking and Google Remarketing.
Google AdWords Conversion Tracking lets us measure how clicks on Google AdWords advertisements lead to meaningful actions and results.
Google Remarketing lets us show advertisements adapted to our Site's visitors (targeted advertising).
These Google services use cookies, among other tools, that let us determine how individuals use our Site. Data relating to Google's services are transmitted to and processed in the United States. Google may transfer this information to third parties if so required by law or if third parties have been commissioned to process these data on behalf of Google.
Google is certified under the Swiss-US Privacy Shield framework for the transfer of data between Switzerland and the United States.

d. Agreement/refusal to have data collected and saved

By using the TradeDirect website, you agree that the data collected on the TradeDirect website may be processed and used in the manner described above.
You can revoke your authorization at any time, with future effect.
If you do not wish to have cookies saved to your hard drive, you can set your web browser to private mode. However, BCV cannot guarantee that the TradeDirect website will function properly in that case. Alternatively, you may delete the cookies on your hard drive by clearing the browsing history or browsing data, an option that can generally be found under Tools or Preferences.
